The Bridge London

The Bridge Primary and Secondary schools are located in Islington and are part of the Bridge London Trust. Both schools are for children and young people with varying SEND. Here I have had access to regular training in many areas such as AET (Autism Education Training) Communication Development, Truama Informed Practice and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

My Role

My role at the Bridge London has stretched across both the Primary and Secondary sites over the last years. I work in a PPA cover role and so work within all of the classes in the school, teaching dance sessions. Whilst in my role here I have been part of Challenge Partners inspections, as well as an Ofsted inspection in which Dance was a ‘deep dive’ subject. I have also written and developed a dance curriculum at the Primary site to further develop this subject area within the school. I have been involved in organising Christmas performances and have continued to provide online learning through- out the school closures in 2020 and 2021. Finally in my position here I set meaningful physical development targets for the children, regularly assess their progress and provide written termly reports.
